1 Corinthians 1:26-31

Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world's eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.
God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. Therefore, as the Scriptures say, "If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord."

A note: I see my blog as my sort of journal for myself, an account to keep myself in check while I grow and mature, become stronger in mind, body, and spirit. I write what I feel, and I'm not boasting when I write things to increase my self-esteem. In the end, all the things I write are for my motivation, and if readers find encouragement or healing in the scriptures or blog messages I post, I'm glad and happy for you. If readers happen to be offended by my posts, that's too bad, but I won't apologize. Don't complain, because I probably won't acknowledge it. This is who I am. Although I take constructive criticism under consideration, I do not change my values for anyone but God. Outside influences will not sway my interests and my goals. Just an FYI.
